Creating a Website
1. Go to www.bravenet.com
2. You will need to register for an account.
3. You will click on ‘websites’ Make sure you are only choosing the free website hosting.
4. Choose a website subdomain for your site.
5. The site will let you know if the subdomain name is available.
6. You should come to a page called ‘Website Manager’, at this page you should choose ‘Web templates’ and then you can browse the ‘gallery’ for a layout you like.
7. Once you have a website URL, send it to Ms. R at reighardh@district112.org

8. From here, I’m going to let you figure out what how to create a webpage.
9. Your website needs to have a topic. (Ideas; the Jones family, snowboarding in mn, softball ’09)
10. Your site needs to have at least 4 pages beyond your home page.
11. It should include pictures, information, and links to other websites.
12. Grading rubric to come soon.
These directions are purposely rather vague, show me what you can do.
This assignment is worth 75 points.
